Hypnopompia

Hypnopompia is a short story that draws heavily from psychological fiction. It explores the character of Callida as she grapples with the ineffable, but in its most mundane form: a man she can't name in a place she can't understand.
It is also experimental: the formatting and text accompany the descent, breaking and shifting through the story.  
After all, not everything that greets you when you open your eyes belongs to the waking world.
